Crime and Punishment in Iran
This is a list of some Iranians including the crimes they committed and their punishments:
Name: Mehrdad Aalikhani
Crime: manslaughter of more than 10 journalist and writers. Murdering Darioush and Parvaneh forouhar, leaders of the Nation of Iran party, by stabbing them more than 70 times
Punishment: Three months in jail. Hired by supreme leader's secret service.
Name: Nasser Zarafshan
Crime: Keeping a rifle and Alcoholic beverage in his home (according to Iran's police report; happened after he represented the victims' family as their attorney against Iranian government in the serial murdering case; victims' family believe he found the evidence of a connection between the murderers and the highest rank of Iran's leadership.
Punishment: For the time being five years without the possibility of parole.
Name: Akbar Ganji
Crime: Investigating the same case described above; discovered who ordered the killings; discovered the death of an Iranian stewardess was related to her affair with the Information minister, Ali Fallahian.
Punishment: 10 years without the possibility of parole.
Name: Arash Sigarchi
Crime: Journalism, being interviewed by BBC and the Persian radio, radio Farda, of US.
Punishment: Has not been sentenced yet.
Name: Saied Motallebi
Crime: Father of Siena Motallebi who escaped from Iran a few years ago after being summoned by the court for the crime of journalism.
Punishment: Arrested then released. Waiting for his trial.
Name: Akbar Khoshkoush
Crime: Participating in murdering the late Ayatollah Khomeini's son, Ahmad, murdering more than 20 journalists, writers, political activists, and ordinary people.
Punishment: Head of Leader's secret police
Name: Ensafali Hedayat
Crime: journalist
Punishment: Behind bar until his trial sentences him to few years in jail.
Name: Karoun Hajizadeh, 10 years old
Crime: Son of a poet, accompanying his father in trip from home to grocery store
Punishment: Death, Stabbed 65 times
Name: Zahra Kazemi (Canadian)
Crime: Journalist, photographer
Punishment: Death while being raped and tortured
Name: Mohammad Khordadian ( US citizen)
Crime: Dancer; Danced in US
Punishment: Cannot leave the country (exiled in Iran)
